SBI Form Build-It … Contact Me, Email Me and So Much More

Whether you need to generate a new income stream, conduct a survey, create a series of sequential Autoresponder messages or simply collect feedback from your visitors, the SBI Form Build-It module is exactly what you need on your website.

Just when I think I’ve got this stuff down I get another lesson on the web.

I thought forms were a great idea for getting people to join your newsletter and I’m smart enough to know the value of constant contact or KIT (keep in touch) after being in sales for 25 years. But dog gone it, it’s hard to even average 10-15% of your visitors signing up for your great all knowing newsletter.. I know that.

But I knew nothing… Yesterday I was looking on the web for camping spaces in Las Vegas. My girlfriend and I are looking for a place near Las Vegas with cheap rates to stay so we don’t have to spend $100-$150 per night for a hotel room. After all most people don’t go to Vegas to sleep. Blowing $300 for 3 nights in a nice room takes away from the fun of flushing it down a slot machine.

Anyway, I only found 6 campgrounds with websites in the Las Vegas area.
I didn’t bother to call the other 60 idiots who were too cheap to put up a website because they thought it was too expensive. I wanted to see pics of the campgrounds, find out things to do, and what other surfers look for…. price per night.

Only one website caught my SBI attentive mind. One site out of all the rest had it right. It was a beautiful campground with palm trees, swimming pools, golf courses, and a free bus ride to the strip. Pics of couples on bicycles holding hands, and a hot tub. But no prices.

What the Hey! Everyone else listed their prices per night.

If I wanted their prices, I had to place my name, email address, and home address on their form and then I would get the price per night emailed to me. Some bull about they could offer better rates if they knew how many nights I was staying.

How rude!

No garbage about newsletters, quick tips on gambling in vegas, or how to play golf. Just tease me with the great amenities and wet my apetite with all the fun stuff to do… then make me want to fill out the form. How rude of those people.

Golly Mis Molly… I filled out the form and got a quote within 30 seconds. But they got my first name and email address.

Guess what!

Within 45 seconds I had a nice email offering a 3 night special for 20% off because of some bull about the off season.

You guessed it. I made the reservation. How could I refuse or even compare prices with other sites when they got done telling me about the 24 hour security and heated pools year round.

I can tell you one thing. I still know nothing about selling on the web. The more I know the less I know.

See it’s not just about a nice site with great content, it’s what you do with your visitor when they arrive at your site.

Oh Jeez… now there’s a nice email in my box confirming my reservation and looking forward to seeing me by the pool and asking if I want to spend another $12 for cable T.V. instead of the normal $20 charge if I wait and decide later. But they said not to hurry and gave me 10 days to decide. I guess I’ll take the cable… I’m not very lucky when it comes to gambling.
